Customs Clearance
Import, export and transit declarations in Dubai, with document checks that keep your cargo from being held.
Overview
Most delays at the port come down to paperwork: an invoice that does not match the packing list, a missing certificate, or an HS code that triggers an inspection. We review your documents before the cargo arrives so the declaration goes through first time.
We coordinate import, export, re-export and transit declarations, and guide you on duty and VAT so there are no surprises when the goods are released.

Customs Clearance FAQs
What documents are needed for import customs clearance in Dubai?
Typically a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, certificate of origin and the delivery order from the carrier. The importer must hold a valid trade licence and be registered with customs. Some goods also need permits from the relevant authority.
How much is customs duty in the UAE?
The standard GCC customs duty is 5% of the CIF value for most goods, with exemptions for some items and higher rates for others such as tobacco. Import VAT at 5% also applies. We share an estimate before your cargo arrives.
How long does customs clearance take in Dubai?
When documents are complete and the cargo is not selected for inspection, clearance is often completed within one to two working days of arrival. Inspections or missing permits add time, which is why we check documents in advance.
